THE TWO TYPES OF NUTRIENTS, CYCLES & SPHERES OF CRADLE TO CRADLE (C2C):

BIOLOGICAL NUTRIENTS are precious, safe, so-called biodegradable substances that can get perpetually and fully recycled in the BIOSPHERE in BIOLOGICAL CYCLES.

TECHNOLOGICAL NUTRIENTS are high-quality, technological substances that cannot safely be returned into the biosphere (environment). These valuable, technological substances are both kept and fully recycled in safe, CLOSED TECHNOLOGICAL CYCLES in the TECHNOSPHERE.

That way, the precious ingredients or substances of products (from houses to planes to T-shirts or produce), that are no longer in use, become precious nutrients (food) for new, effective cycles. The smart concept—as Nature teaches us—is: “waste” = food.
